1. Booking & retainer
All reservations require a non-refundable booking retainer (typically 25% of the rental cost, $100 minimum, $500 maximum) collected at the time of booking via Stripe. The retainer secures your dates and vehicle and is applied toward your final balance.
2. Cancellation
The booking retainer is non-refundable. Cancellations made 48+ hours before pickup convert the retainer to a credit valid for 6 months. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the retainer entirely.
3. Security deposit
A refundable security deposit is held on a debit or credit card at pickup. Luxury vehicles: $500 (or $350 for 24-hour / one-day rentals). Economy rentals with valid liability insurance: no deposit; without insurance: $250. The hold is released after the vehicle is returned in the same condition.
4. Driver requirements
All drivers must be 18+, hold an active US driver's license, and complete identity verification via Veriff. A debit or credit card must be on file — we no longer accept cash payments. Additional drivers must be added to the rental agreement before driving.
5. Insurance
All luxury rentals require active full-coverage auto insurance in the renter's name; proof is required at pickup. Economy rentals require active liability coverage; renters without insurance may rent with a $250 refundable security deposit in lieu of coverage.
6. Mileage
Premium vehicles include 150 miles per day. Economy vehicles include 250 miles per day. Overage is billed at $0.45/mile, deducted from the security deposit.
7. Late returns
Returns more than 30 minutes past the scheduled time are billed at 1.5× the daily rate, prorated hourly.
8. Prohibited use
Vehicles may not be used for racing, off-road driving, towing, transport of hazardous materials, or any illegal activity. Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles — a $250 cleaning fee applies.
